A winter landscape is not only beautiful, it’s also a great means of identifying animals that have been in a certain area.

Snow on the ground often means animal tracks to identify — and our great graphic of animal tracks can help. It shows what the tracks of a gray squirrel, red fox, skunk, chipmunk, opossum, deer mouse, white-tailed deer, mountain lion, raccoon and cottontail rabbit look like.

Good luck with your identification adventures!
