The nationwide program One Block Off the Grid is organizing homeowners in cities across the nation and negotiating with solar installers and manufacturers for reduced group rates.

Obtaining solar panels for your home and the rest of your neighborhood is cheaper and easier when you work as a group.

The nationwide program One Block Off the Grid is organizing homeowners in cities across the nation and negotiating with solar installers and manufacturers for reduced group rates. Once 100 people in a city sign up, the group evaluates the area, determines the best solar technology in terms of efficacy and cost, then negotiates group prices to get affordable solar power on rooftops.

One Block Off the Grid is currently active in cities such as Austin, Texas; Portland, Oregon; Chicago and Miami. All it takes is 100 interested participants to add your city to the list.
