Ohe.láku & United South and Eastern Tribes, Braiding the Sacred

Lea Zeise, of the Wolf Clan of the Oneida Nation, grew up on the Oneida Reservation where now farms ancestral Indigenous varieties of corn with a cooperative she co-founded called Ohe.láku (oh-hey-LAH-goo). She’s also a co-founder of Braiding the Sacred, a national grassroots organization dedicated to Indigenous corn cultures. For work, she serves as the Agriculture Program Manager at United South and Eastern Tribes, Inc.
