Kate Johnson is the founder and lead instructor at The Art of Cheese, an artisan cheesemaking school based in Longmont, Colorado. Kate also raises Nubian dairy goats at Briar Gate Farm in Longmont, where her cheesemaking classroom is based. Her classes are also available online. She is a writer, coach, mentor, and speaker and loves to share her passions with others. Her book, Tiny Goat, Big Cheese, tells her inspiring story of going from suburban stay-at-home mom to owner of one of the busiest cheesemaking schools in the country. Her newest title is Say Cheese! which is a cheesemaking guide that takes readers from start to finish, explaining each step in easy-to-understand and comfortable terminology. She is currently working on her next book, Make Your Cheese & Eat It, Too, which will include all of her cheese recipes with lots of easy-to-follow tips and techniques that make cheesemaking accessible for anyone eager to make and eat cheese!
