Gianaclis Caldwell is the author of four books on cheesemaking and small dairying, including the award-winning  Mastering Artisan Cheesemaking, The Small-Scale Cheese Business, Holistic Goat Care, Mastering Basic Cheesemaking, and The Small Scale Dairy.  Along with her husband, she milks goats and makes cheese at Pholia Farm Creamery in the south of Oregon.

Jeannette Beranger is the Senior Program Manager for The Livestock Conservancy. She uses her knowledge to plan and implement conservation programs, conduct field research, and advise farmers in their endeavors with rare breeds. She is co-author of the best-selling book “An Introduction to Heritage Breeds.”

Dr. Richard Browning, board member at  The Livestock Conservancy,  is a Professor of Animal Science, Tennessee State University, Nashville. He started meat goat research in 2002. He studies performance traits among Boer, Kiko, and Spanish breeds. Myotonic and Savanna goats were added later to the research program. Richard and his wife are thoroughly engaged in outreach activities to assist meat goat producers.
