Take your herbal education to the next level by enrolling in The Herbal Academy's online course, for which there are options for all skill levels.

The Herbal Academy is an online school that provides expertly written and beautifully designed course material to budding herbalists worldwide. Environmental stewardship is an integral part of the school’s mission, and tips about sustainable foraging and ethical sourcing are ingrained throughout the course material. Each course includes multiple units divided into individual lessons with downloadable course material, recipes, DIY projects, quizzes, videos, reputable resources, and herbal monographs.

Renowned herbalists have contributed to the Academy’s curriculum. Steven Foster is on the Board of Trustees for the American Botanical Council, Matthew Wood is the author of The Earthwise Herbal series, and Maria Noël Groves is a clinical herbalist and author of the holistic health care guide Body Into Balance.

Founder and Director Marlene Adelmann has been very intentional about keeping the curriculum affordable in an effort to celebrate the community-centered spirit of herbalism and to empower their students. Monthly payment plans are available for all courses. The Introductory Herbal Course starts at $195, and usually takes four to six months to complete. Intermediate and advanced students will also find their place among the more complex courses and course bundles, which include lessons for herbal entrepreneurs and those interested in delving into the legal considerations for a practicing herbalist.
