Looking up tax maps, cutting carrots, and deleting an insipid tomato plant from the garden are just a few of the things we’ve been up to this past week.

Its been a good year for cucumbers and an even better year for onions.

We tested a new kind of low tech chicken plucker. This innovative solution is a drill powered plucker that only cost 30 dollars and is easy to operate. Anna was surprised at how effective it was at getting the pin feathers and I was impressed with its sturdy construction. The savings add up pretty quick when you figure a few minutes multiplied by 20 equals a precious hour.
