Put your laundry on a clothesline in your home to add moisture to the dry, winter air.

Using the normal dryness in my home in the winter, I dry a load of clothes overnight on a clothes rack situated next to the radiator in my bedroom. I benefit in two ways: Not using the dryer saves me about $100 a year in electricity, and, as they dry, the clothes add moisture to the dry, winter air in the house.
