Background and Personal History: Camilla holds a BA from Barnard College and an MBA from Georgetown University. Originally an investment banker and investor in venture stage companies, over time she began using her analytical and communication skills in health and environmental activism. She directed the landmark paper “Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid” for the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy, as well as several subsequent white papers. She co-authored “Public Health SOS: The Shadow Side of the Wireless Revolution” and the report, “Cellphones and Brain Tumors: 15 Reasons for Concern.”

Camilla co-founded the International EMF Alliance in Oslo, Norway, a collaboration of 95+ organizations concerned about the proliferation of telecommunications and utility technology without adequate concern for health and environmental factors. She has spoken widely nationally and internationally. She has addressed the Commonwealth Club of California, Bioneers, the Young President’s Organization, Columbia University Law School, the International Institute for Building Biology & Ecology, members of Congress and their staffs, state and local governments and many medical conferences. Camilla serves as Adviser to the International Institute for Building Biology & Ecology, is Board Member, Media in the Public Interest, and EMF Advisor to Mercola.com, FrankLipmanMD.com, Citizens for Health and the U.K. Radiation Research Trust. Camilla has appeared on Fox News, ABC, PBS and Voice of America TV.

Current Projects: Camilla works closely with the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy to advance more complete, holistic views of risks and opportunities on important environmental and health policy matters. She is involved with efforts related to energy policy, environmental and health impacts of technology and is presently developing a social venture. She addresses consumer audiences through ElectromagneticHealth.org. She is also an environmental consultant, freelance and ghost-writer and teacher of the wisdom traditions.

Other Fun Facts: Camilla organized and moderated an interdisciplinary expert panel with the rest of the “Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid” team at the Commonwealth Club of California in San Francisco in 2014. It focused the misunderstandings about the value of ‘smart meters’ being rolled out across the country and the misguided direction of electricity and energy policy in the U.S. generally. She was an Executive Producer of the award-winning documentary, Take Back Your Power: Investigating the “Smart” Grid.

And in 2013, she organized the first U.S. expert program addressing little understood technology impacts on children, fetuses and fertility.
