Bill Inverso, Bicycle Designer
Name: Bill Inverso
Occupation: Bicycle designer
Place of Residence: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Background and Personal History: A former USAF jet-fighter mechanic, jazz musician, and high-end custom furniture maker, Bill got his BA degree in Music Theory and Composition, and is also a retired guitar teacher. His passion lies in many things but now that he’s semi-retired, he is designing titanium bicycles for his company INVU CYCLES. His goal is to get regular folks riding a bike for more than exercise. Of course, as a great bonus, the cargo or utility bike widens the use of a two-wheeled vehicle.
Current Projects: Bill is working on a cargo or utility bike design right now that would enable people to go grocery shopping, hunting, fishing, family picnics, camping, commuting, etc. This bike will create its own electricity as you ride to run lights on the bike or charge your phone, computer or any USB-enabled device. Bill will be showcasing these bikes along with demos at the Puyallup, WA, Mother Earth News Fair on May 31, 2014, so folks can experience a utility bike and all the cool things this bike can do — maybe a few will even decide to leave the car at home. Bill plans on riding to Washington from his home in Colorado for the Fair. Tune in for a blog about his adventure.
Other Fun Facts: Fun — it’s gotta be fun. We all need more fun in our lives, and riding a bike makes you feel like a kid again.
